Whilst there are certainly more significant things going on in the World at the moment, the 2020 NFL draft is a welcome distraction for Football fans around the globe who are locked down safe at home.
I have spent a lot of time looking at the Broncos draft prospects since my Mock Draft 1.0. John Elway has had a productive Free agency as he has made some impressive signings. Heading the list is Jurell Casey the five time Pro Bowl Defensive End who was traded from the Tennessee Titans for a seventh round pick in 2020, mainly due to the $11 million cap hit he has this season. Casey is a highly rated team leader and comes with a top class pedigree and will look to compliment Von Miller and Bradley Chubb and cause problems for opposition Quarterbacks.

AJ Bouye replaces the Chargers bound Chris Harris Jr and Shelby Harris returns for $3 million dollars on a one year prove it deal. Derek Wolfe is heading to Baltimore and Adam Gotsis is now a free agent.
On Offense Melvin Gordon will want to form a dynamic duo with Phillip Lindsay at Running Back and will be a major tool for Pat Schurmur’s offense.

Up front the tough, no nonsense Graham Glasgow replaces Ron Leary at Right Guard. Drew Lock has a new back up in Jeff Driskel who has been around the NFL block a few times. Sam Martin is now the Broncos Punter, bringing an end to Colby Wadman’s tenure. This changes the landscape for needs that need addressing in the Draft.
The major need is still at Wide receiver and Left Tackle, as well as Center as Connor McGovern heads to MetLife stadium to play under Center for Sam Darnold.
